Delicious lamb, but is it heart healthy?

I love lamb, especially leg of lamb.  But is it a heart healthy recipe?  Recent studies have shown that grass fed lambs are a good source of Omega 3 fatty acids which are one component in a heart healthy diet.  Grass fed lambs are also leaner.  Leaner, grass fed lamb has less marbling through out the meat, but still has a rich flavor.  And with the fat on the outside, it is easier to cut off and eliminate from your diet.  So, according to recent studies, yes, lamb is OK, maybe even good for a heart healthy diet.  But remember, everything in moderation.

Need a good recipe for leg of lamb?  Try a leg of lamb on the grill.  It has wonderful flavor and no need for guilt.
